Gold and silver prices rise


Gold and silver prices increased this week as it went up by a whopping Rs 1,500 and Rs 30 per tola, respectively.

The market opened on Sunday with gold price fixed at Rs 51,000 per tola and the price remained unchanged on Monday. The price of the precious yellow metal increased by Rs 100 per tola on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the bullion price rose by Rs 1,200 per tola in a single day and settle at Rs 52,300 per tola. Price of gold continued to rise on Thursday, trading at Rs 52,600 per tola.

Posting a drop in price by Rs 100 per tola, the yellow metal settled at Rs 52,500 per tola on Friday to close the week’s trading.

Overall, the price of gold went up over 2.94 per cent in six trading days of the week.

Likewise, price of silver also went up by Rs 30 per tola during the six trading days of the week. Silver was traded at Rs 700 per tola on Sunday and remained unchanged until Tuesday.

The price of the white metal went up by Rs 25 per tola on Wednesday to Rs 725 per tola. Its price again went up by Rs five per tola on Thursday and remained unchanged on Friday to settle at Rs 730 per tola.
