Want to buy Unilever Nepal share? Share price reaches Rs 20 thousand per unit; highest in the history of Nepalese stock market

Shares of Unilever Nepal Limited (UNL), one of the most sought after companies in the stock market were traded at the price of Rs 20 thousand per unit on July 5 (yesterday).

It is the first time in history of Nepalese stock market that the share price of any company has reached as much as Rs 20 thousand.  Though UNL shares have always been highest priced share in the stock market but it had never reached to the price of Rs 20 thousand. The share price of Unilever Nepal reached Rs 10 thousand on December 17, 2012 and the price has doubled in the span of two and half years.

Unilever Nepal has a paid up capital of Rs 92.1 million. It had a net profit of Rs 256.5 million in the third quarter of the current fiscal year. It has reserve fund of Rs 1.33 billion during the same period. Company’s Earnings per Share stands at Rs 279 and Net Worth per Share at Rs 1,552.

The Company had distributed 860 percent cash dividend warrants to its shareholders from net profit it posted in the last fiscal year 2070/71. The company has always been the leader when it comes to distributing dividend to its shareholders.
